Last min booking to record the News Quiz at the Bush Hall tonight. Very reverberant so trying to get audience mics close, but with some depth, rather than just distant (mics on stage) Changed it around a bit to keep sight lines good for the video, and moved them around a bit (ended up with wide cardiod pair behind mix position, so in the first 1/3rd of audience and the SM58s doing the close work...prob a bit too close for my liking, but I wanted them out of shot. I think it can be refined and still not cause trip hazards or get in the way of the socials camera. Obvs I would prefer the stereo pair and a bunch of drops!
